Hair sheep mixes and wool sheep mixes. They are all part Soay; the smallest breed of sheep in the U.S.
Our Soay mixes all have naturally short tails, good feet, and they browse thorny bushes, and graze grass. Most of them shed completely without assistance. Most are proven (they have birthed and raised lambs.)
They are polled (born without horns.)
Clean tested CL, CAE, Jonnes, and scrapie herd. (Health records for each sheep are available at our website.)
---Jen (1st pic) is 1/4 Finnsheep and 1/4 CVM (wool, high birth rate and mothering ability mix). She has not been bred yet. She takes after her Soay side in her tiny size.
---Dorothy (2nd pic) is Jen's beautiful older sister 1/4 Finnsheep and 1/4 CVM. She takes after her mother with a larger size and softer wool.
--- Aurora (3rd & 4th pics) is 1/2 Sheltand.
---We were told Margaret (5th and 6th pics) is pure soay, but she has longer wool than the other soays, and she is polled. We think she is mixed. She sheds.
--- We were told Blath (7th and 8th pic) is pure soay, but she is bigger than the other soays, and she is polled. We think she is mixed.
All the male sheep have been sold.
All the available pure soay ewes have been sold.
Discount for buying more than one.
Details about their health and personalities, and more photos for each sheep can be found by clicking on their name on this site:

You can also Google Castlewood Farm Soays to reach the site.
All the sheep for sale are adults. Some of the pics are of when they were younger.
Our flocksire is registered with the RBST as Saltmarsh Holmsted (we call him Arnold), our other ram is his son - They are not for sale. They are in the last pic.
We can put the ewes that are for sale with Arnold or Henry so there will be a chance (no guarantees) that they are bred before you take them home.
